Store manager at a food shop in Grand Central Terminal, NYC, contacted STOP to report that a STOP-tagged device was left behind at the store. STOP looked up the device by the unique STOP ID Number and identified and notified the rightful owner, who has recovered the device. Case closed.

Good Samaritan found a STOP-tagged laptop inside a suitcase behind an oilchange servcie station in Bakersfield, Calif. STOP checked the item in the registration database, original owner sold this unit, but the new owner did not re-register, so current owner is unknown. STOP advised Good Samaritan to turn into local police.

A company-owned laptop was lost by an employee at Minnesota Airport. It was found by Delta Airlines agent and transferred to Delta Lost & Found in Scottsboro, Alabama. Delta notified STOP, who notified registered owner. Laptop returned by Delta to owner.
